Bomnuri Haimerl was born 1983 in Munich/ Germany .

Already in the early years she grew up in artistic circumstances.

So her mother Kim Young-Hee is a well-known artist and author in South-Korea.

At the beginning her musical education was based on classical piano, experiences on stage included.

At the age of fourteen she started to study at the "Leopold Mozart Conservatory" in Augsburg (today's "Leopold-Mozart-Center of the University Augsburg") with Prof. Ayami Ikeba (Anne-Sophie Mutter's constant duo partner).

Since 2003 she continued at the "University Mozarteum" in Salzburg/ Austria

with Prof. Hans Leygraf, who had an 'international class for highly gifted students' at that time and in particular with Prof. George Kern.

Following this academic way more and more her ambition to realise her interest in various styles of music increased.

So she began to experiment with electronic music, jazz improvisation.

2023 she graduated (BA) at the "University of Music and Performing Arts Graz" with Prof. Ayami Ikeba with best mark 'mit Auszeichnung' (with special honors).

In artistic cooperation she composed for the performance “A Woman’s Life—Where Are You Going, White Buddha?” by Kim Young-Hee at the TamS Theater in Munich and for the short documentary "Botswana - Die heilige Insel zwischen Himmel und Erde", a production of the ORF (Austrian television).

For the exhibition by Kim Young-Hee at the ART CHOSUN SPACE GALLERY in Seoul, 2023, she composed and arranged the music for a video installation in cowork with the photographer Hans-Rudolf Schulz.

Bomnuri Haimerl wurde 1983 in München geboren.

Bereits in frühen Jahren wuchs sie in künstlerischer Atmosphäre auf.

Großen Einfluss darauf hatte sicherlich ihre Mutter Kim Young-Hee, welche als Bildhauerin und Schriftstellerin tätig ist. So erhielt sie im Alter von vier Jahren ersten Klavierunterricht. Mit vierzehn begann sie als Gaststudentin am "Leopold-Mozart-Konservatorium" in Augsburg (heutiges Leopold-Mozart-Zentrum der Universität Augsburg) bei Frau Prof. Ayami Ikeba (langjährige Duopartnerin von Anne-Sophie Mutter). Sie führte ihr Studium ab 2003 weiter fort an der "Universität Mozarteum" in Salzburg bei Prof. Hans Leygraf, der derzeit 'eine Klasse für internationale Spitzenbegabungen' führte und insbesondere bei Prof. George Kern.

Mehr und mehr entwickelte sich jedoch Interesse an der Musik in ihrer Gesamtheit und Stilvielfalt. So hat sie genauso Freude, mit einem

elektronischen Musikprogramm zu experimentieren, wie auch an Jazzimprovisationen.

2023 schloss sie ihr Studium (BA) an der "Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz" bei Frau Prof. Ayami Ikeba mit 'sehr gut mit Auszeichnung' ab.

In künstlerischer Kooperation komponierte sie für die Performance "Ein Frauenleben - Wohin gehst du, Weisser Buddha?" von Kim Young-Hee und für "Botswana - Die heilige Insel zwischen Himmel und Erde", einenKurzdokumentarfilm des ORF.

Im Rahmen einer Kunstausstellung von Kim Young Hee in der ART CHOSUN SPACE GALLERY in Seoul 2023 komponierte und arrangierte sie Musik für eine Videoinstalltion in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Fotografen Hans-Rudolf Schulz.
